We are boutique sewing, quilting and embroidery stores serving the Charleston, Hilton Head, & Greenville areas of South Carolina. We specialize in BERNINA, bernette, Brother, Baby Lock, Innova, and Handi Quilter machine sales. Out Team can service your machines, and we offer a range of classes and events catered towards fostering a love of sewing, quilting and embroidery in every person we meet. Meet the Team
Becca learned crafting, crochet, sewing and quilting from her mother and grandmother at a very early age. In her professional career as a CPA and as an accounting software trainer, she always enjoyed the creative side of life in her spare time. When she discovered the world of machine embroidery and all the software available for digitizing and quilting design, she opened Sew Suite Studio in 2014 and has not looked back. Now with two retail store locations in the sunny low country of South Carolina, Becca, along with her two adult kids, Bari & Spencer, are taking the business into it's 10th successful year offering online video training classes focusing on Baby Lock, Brother, Bernina, Innova and Handi Quilter machines and software. In her spare time, Becca enjoys time in the garden, occasionally playing a tune on the piano, spending time with husband Lance and their Boykin spaniel, Chip. She even still makes time to sew up something nice to wear on her next travel trip.
A young sewist with nearly a decade of sewing and sewing education experience, Bari is a lover of all aspects of the creative process. From garment sewing and quilting, to machine embroidery and sewing machine repair, Bari does a bit of everything! For Bari, sewing and sewing machine repair are like a puzzle, where each piece serves a purpose and comes together to create something fun. Her passion is inspiring people through the sewing experience and sharing her knowledge with others. When she isn't at work, she enjoys cooking and baking, as well as spending time outside. She also loves to spend time with friends and her two cats, Baby Kitty & Eleanor. She loves to travel and is always looking for the next opportunity to visit a new place (and check out the local quilt shops!)
Chip is our lively store mascot! He has a
big personality and he's not afraid to show it! His favorite pastimes are hiding his chewy toys in the scrap fabric bins, stealing yarn balls, and cuddling with anyone who will let him! He loves meeting new people at the shop and is a joy to staff and customers
