Refund policy

At Sew Suite Studio, your satisfaction is our top priority!  We want you to love your purchases and feel confident shopping with us.  To ensure a smooth experience, please review our return and refund guidelines.

General Returns - Internet and In-Store purchases (effective March 3, 2026)

We accept returns on any unopened items in their original packaging within 14 business days. Opened items will have a 25% restocking fee. Shipping is at your expense. All returns are subject to inspection and approval.

  • Unopened Merchandise may be exchanged or refunded. "Unopened" means that the contents have not been removed from its packaging, and all factory seals are unbroken. Shipping is non-refundable, and items purchased originally with Free Shipping will have outbound shipping fees deducted from the refund. All returns are subject to inspection before a refund is given.
  • Opened Merchandise Opened merchandise can be returned for a Store Credit in the form of a gift card for all item’s providing merchandise is returned in its original factory carton, undamaged with Styrofoam, warranty card, and all included accessories. You will be charged extra for any missing or damaged items upon return. Shipping is non-refundable, and items purchased originally with Free Shipping will have outbound shipping fees deducted from the store credit. All returns are subject to inspection before store credit is given.
  • Shipping Costs are covered by Sew Suite Studio if there is any problem with your order or the product is defective, and you allow us to repair or replace it. If you choose not to repair or replace the item, it becomes a general return. General returns will have the original shipping fees deducted from the refund.
  • If any machine is returned without its included accessories and manual a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • Machine exchanges may be made within the 14 business day period moving into a higher value machine with no re-stocking fee. After 14 business days the Machine trade value is applied toward the MSRP of the upgraded machine.

    You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund (store credit), the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund (store credit).

  • Please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We are not responsible for returns that are “lost in the mail”.

Non-returnable Items:

  • All software and designs
  • All sewing cabinets, cutting tables, cabinets inserts, and quilting table extensions
  • Assembled Machine Quilting Frames
  • Freight Intensive Items
  • All Pre-Loved “Pre-owned” machines – however they are eligible for trade-in
  • All items without original factory box
  • All Laurastar products
  • Clearance Items, Gift Cards, & Special Orders
  • Fabric & Cut Goods:  Due to the nature of our fabric and cut-to-order items, we are unable to accept returns on any fabric that has been cut, washed, or altered in any way.  We kindly ask you to double-check your measurements before placing your order.
  • Notions, Books, Patterns:  Unused, unopened items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or store credit.  Items must be in resalable condition.
  • Defective items:  If you receive a defective product or an error was made on our end, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.  We will arrange for a replacement or a full refund, including shipping costs.

Classes & Workshops:

Special Events/Guest Instructor Classes/Retreats: Seats for special events, retreats, and visiting instructors are non-refundable. Seats may, however, be transferred to someone else. If you're unable to attend, please notify us immediately as we may have a waitlist. If not, it's the attendee's responsibility to find someone to take their spot.

Please keep in mind a lot of planning goes into these classes and events and we have minimum requirements from instructors so please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend for something you have registered for.

For long arm rentals: Please ensure the date you have selected is correct, as we cannot accommodate cancellations, returns, or exchanges at this time.

For all other classes: Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend. Notifications less than 48 hours are not refundable, however we will send you a store gift card to use later. “No-shows” are considered class forfeit and are not refundable.
